One of my favorite weekends at Renaissance Park is our Our Ohio State Steak Cook-Off in June. Competitors from all around Ohio and a few other states come in and set up their grills. They are all mostly having fun and also going for the golden ticket to be able to compete in the world championship in Texas. There is also a kid's cook-off. It’s a blast for up and coming competitors. There are also 2 ancillary competitions, so it’s definitely a fun-filled day. Plus you can win up to $1,000. Try it once and get hooked like me!

"Please let me share my most sincere thanks and appreciation for going above and beyond our expectations for our ILEA Board Retreat held at your facility in July of 2020. As the pandemic was in its early months, we found ourselves with the need to hold our inaugural board retreat in person at a location that allowed us to both socially distance and get our messaging across to our board members in an effective and safe way. Cheryl Bucholtz and her team graciously offered to let us use the 1572 Roadhouse BBQ location as the place for our meeting. The location was perfect as it was under cover from the sun, had ample seating, a sound system, close access to facilities, and PLENTY of parking. In addition to the ample space, we were greeted with amazing pulled pork sandwiches, bacon green beans, and mac & cheese prepared by their very own pit masters. Cheryl had prepared the space by sanitizing everything in advance and even provided custom Renaissance Festival masks and hand sanitizer. Our meeting went off without a hitch which was aided by the wireless internet provided by the facility for our Zoom stream that we provided for members that could not attend in person. After our meeting, we were able to socialize in the space and then took a tour of the grounds of the festival space. I cannot say enough about the hospitality we were treated to the entire time we were onsite and the thorough planning that went into the event in advance. We look forward to returning for another social event where we will invite our entire slate of membership in the future. Thank you, Renaissance team!"

The Aleing Knight Pub location was a perfect setting for gathering our friends and family to raise money in support of our cause. The covered structure provided protection from the rain showers we endured; the seating was ample, comfortable, and intimate; the bar was accomodating and convenient for providing service to patrons; the sound system allowed us to enjoy the music while still participating in conversations with one another; the restroom facilities were close and convenient (and clean!); and we had ample parking for ALL our guests!
